HVDS is Speaking at Food Safety Europe 2020
Press release: 5th December 2019
HVDS announces that the company will be speaking as a ‘Thought Leader’ at the BRCGS Food Safety Europe 2020 conference on 12th February. Food Industry Air Filtration and Ventilation Consultant, Tony Carvell, will be giving a talk entitled ‘A Holistic Approach to Managed Indoor Air Quality’, which examines the hazards of poor air management, good working practices and the importance of a holistic view. Tony will also bust a few myths relating to Indoor Air Quality along the way. Tony says,
“Having attended Food Safety Europe in previous years, we value the insights and ideas the event delivers and are, therefore, delighted to be sharing some of our own tips on food safety with regard to managing Indoor Air Quality.”
As well as giving lots of information about how to keep the air in production facilities clean and safe, Tony will be relaying some anecdotes from his 10 years’ experience of looking after the air filtration requirements of some of the largest food and beverage production companies in the UK and Ireland. Tony says,
“Food production sites are very concerned about audit compliance, but there is a lot of confusion generally about how to achieve it. The aim of my talk is to show that being audit-ready is not just about changing your air filters. There are other considerations that can make a massive difference to your Indoor Air Quality.”
Tony specialises in meeting and surpassing audit compliance goals and targets for cost reduction and energy efficiency. His vast industry experience gives him the benefit of a holistic view, allowing sites to get even more value from their processes and systems. Tony explains,
“Getting the right air handling system in place and maintaining it regularly will save energy, cut costs and reduce the risks of cross contamination and poor air related health and safety issues.”
Food Safety Europe 2020 is a one-day conference held at County Hall in London, which will be looking at European food safety management in food manufacturing, food service and retail environments. The event will also provide an opportunity for food safety professionals across the industry to swap ideas on how to keep consumers safe. The conference will also feature and present the BRCGS Food Safety (Europe) Awards.
This is the fourth year in a row that HVDS has attended Food Safety Europe and the first time that the clean air solutions company will be speaking at the event. After a period of expansion, HVDS is looking forward to showcasing its services, including its dust extraction and fabric ducting solutions and its hygiene and maintenance service.
